Founded in 2002, Moving the Goalposts is a development programme that harnesses sport to change the lives of young women living on Kenya's Coast.

The Kenyan Coast experiences some of the highest levels of poverty in Kenya. Women and young girls, in particular, endure hardships such as early marriages, no access to education, gender-based violence and little to no access to healthcare.

Moving the Goalposts stepped in and through the power of sport, they work with over 9000 girls and young women throughout the region. Football is only the while they use to drive change, they provide young women with the tools and knowledge to acquire financial independence. Their work helping young women on Kenya's coast understand their rights by creating a safe space has and will continue to impact our society for generations.

"Moving the goalposts allowed me and other young women to express ourselves and grow."
